What do you seek to gain if it goes well?

it all depends on your relationship with them, obviously if its a good and healthy one then they would do all for their kids, but if not it might fireback the wrong way

There isn't one size fits all for this. I told one parent that I an on GYE but never told them that I struggled. I am sure they figured out that I struggled and I have personal experience but they don't know what my struggles were. The other parent I didn't tell anything because it wouldn't go well. Nobody but you can answer this question for yourself. You also have to figure out what you are trying to gain. The parent I told respects me a lot and it felt good to share that I am helping others.
