I am transitioning from a MO yeshiva in Eretz Yisroel to a mainstream yeshivish beis medrash in America. they recently sent out the guidlines for the zman with a nice few paragraphs about the dangers of smart phones, and how they strongly discourage them, and that if we will have them they will be TAGged by the yeshiva. I of course sadly know how correct the yeshiva is. My parents are modern and this is completely foreign to them. Is there any article online that speaks about the advantages of not having a smartphone, or of having a kosher phone, in a more positive view that would speak nicely to them? Maybe something from like rav Lopiansky or Rav Keleman? Thank you!
