Facebook is MAMASH a posion pill. Everyone not only on this site should get rid of it, but all Jews as well. Baruch Hashem I never injected that poison into my body, but Ive seen people waste hours of their DAYS with Facebook. There are untznius pictures, and many other things that we should stay away from. I advise EVERYONE here to take the Bardy initiative and delete their accounts immedietly. Also, if you're in the dating world it doesnt look too good. In the past, I have looked at a Facebook account as a grave weekness in the person.

Kollel Guy	Yeah, facebook is doing much worse things to the new generation than texting and cell phones did to ours. It's horrible in terms of teenage boys and girls being able to meet each other SO quickly and easily RCM"L.

This is a major nisayon for me. Facebook is an awesome tool to keep in touch with friends.... and I admit it can also be an effective tool for online flirting, chatting with girls, and looking at their picture albums.

In my circles basically all my friends and acquaintances are on this site. Sometimes I wish I lived in a chareidi community and had all chareidi friends but the truth is I don't and in the modern-Orthodox community these things like Facebook, movies, social mingling of the genders are very much tolerated.

I can't see myself getting rid of my account... that itself seems embarrassing to admit.
