filters do not help at all because I used to have k9 even before I had been on this site. Since neither of my parents use the computer and stuff nor can they speak English, I am the only one who has access to the computer. So a filter is not going to work because I can always go back and disable the filter or change the password myself. 

Isn't there a simple solution that I had never thought of before but now have? For instance, why don't we just come clean to our family members and let tehm know that we have been hooked on this and then that will be the end of it? I am just making a suggestion. I mean, you may get scolded for something that you had done, but not confessing to anyone is going to make your addiction last a bit longer. Do you really want to break free? Why don't you try coming clean? This way, it will definitely facilitate recovery. It has made me feel a lot better. If you don't want to be addicted to something, don't mince words,but rather, tell them everything. Give them the entire story. If you don't be honest with someone, no one can help you. and like some people have said,"God helps those who help themselves." I would like to alter that phrase a little and say,"God will not help those who do not choose to help themselves." I feel that there are so many common sense solutions. The more we hide, the more we lock ourselves up in our rooms watching pornography or trying to use filters to help us, it is going to take longer. And programs simply do not work sometimes. Why not just let someone catch you in the act? This will result in a temporary punishment, but if you tell them, wouldn't you have recovered a lot quicker and wouldn't have to spend time on this site? 

It could be you need a different filter/accountability software, one that's better than K9, or you could have someone else create the password to lock certain sites, i know people who have done that and it worked for them. 
Coming clean to your family and friends is a BIG step and sounds like a good idea. unfortunately, it will not work for some people, but if it works for than that;s great, but don't spend less time on this site, there are  a bunch of tools to use in addition to whatever tools you come up with yourself. Also, we love to hear about recovery stories and any case of temptation but you held back for whatever reason.
Every person is different with different ways of how to lose their addicction.

I felt complacent riding on my high horse, "I am holy!" "My devices are clean". Not so. I was constantly In a battle to "test" the filter. Does it "really work? (Yea right!) It's MY job to BECOME clean MYSELF. Since I realized that, I haven't had a filter and I am clean, and I Daven for siyata dishmaya every day! Because that's really what it's all about. 

I thought of a Mashal. People always say that it's 99% HaShem and 1% hishtadlus. (Or do they say the opposite?) NO. It's 100% HaShem. And it's 100% you! For example, you get 100 tickets at an arcade room, you give the tickets to the person behind the counter, then he gives you a voucher to purchase something from the store. When you pay for the toy, would your actual tickets get you anywhere? It is only the voucher that can accomplish the end goal. However, with only 99 tickets you don't get a voucher. Your input is needed with 100% of your ability, HaShem ultimately pulls the strings 100%!!
Moral: the "work" is mine to do totally with all my might. But there always must be teffila. (Sorry if I sound preachy, I need this myself)
