Summer in by me means construction. A road was re-paved recently and I told my mother how great it is to drive on that street. My mother's response: "ya it's great! Sometimes it's the little things that we appreciate "(more or less).
Think, If we, of limited intellect, are able to appreciate the little things, just try to imagine what Hashem, of infinite intellect, appreciates. The things that we consider small must be humongous for Hashem. OK so we didn't hear any shofar blowing or hear about mountain splitting and water rushing through it and the news networks didn't erupt (not yet) but that OK because we tried. And Hashem values that more than anything in the world. Hopefully another Tisha B'Av went in (Rav Hutner Zatzl used to say "don't say another Yom tov gone by but rather another Yom tov gone in)
