I was wondering if you guys can recommend a good free filter. I am not that great with computers so I don't have to worry about getting around them. I am looking for something that will not allow me to view "adult material", yet still allows me to make regular use of the internet. Again, I dont really have to much money so I would need something that's free.
Thanx,

I recently installed K9 and am very happy with it. In fact I think it's better then many of the filters I paid for in the past.  It's a software based filter which means you install the software on your computer create a password to change filter settings.  I got my partner to put a password in for me.  Their website is www.k9webprotection.com.

K9 is the best. They came out with a new version which is excellent. BUT, you must set it at least to the next to highest setting, and of course make sure that someone other than yourself is holding the secret password.
If it filters out a few sites that you need, you can add them to the "white List".

This message is to Boruch and Shomer or anyone else that really understands computers and filters.

I hope that it is okay that I take the liberty of making this request.

There is a filter and monitoring program which according to some claims is better than any other. There is a free trial period when you get some of the features. If you actually purchase it, for $100 , you get a few days to really try it out. Could I ask you to check it out? It sounds better and cheaper than Spector.

I would really appreciate this. My main problem with filters is that I  can delete or get around any of them so far. This one is "invisible" they claim. You don't see it on your computer. My question is whether people like you can get around it or delete it without the password. And is it better than Spector which you recommend, I believe.

The website is:

or
www.awarenesstech.com/Monitoring-Software/Consumer/

Warning. Just ignore the pics of secretaries wearing what they consider normal business attire these days. It is not up to our standards.
