My dear, dear, dear, Tireh, Uri.

Since this not your thread, I hereby inform you that guns rock. Handguns, shotguns, automatics and semis. 9mms, .45s, .38s, Magnums, hollow-points, .30s (sniper rounds) and of course, the beloved incendiarys (SWEET!).

I think, Uri, you should go to a range (try Krav in Talpiot) and feel the joy of recoil. Loading, chambering, aiming and firing. Watching the spent shell fly out of the slide. It's sweet. It's a sport , as well. And here in Eretz Yisrael, many hate us already. When they come knocking - or bulldozing, one of the above can do wonders.

The bad guys are always going to be packing. The good guys should be as well. In the words of Heston Rabbenu "my idea of gun control is a firm grip"

I probably still can't. It would be too offensive, and doubly so since some of the people here seem extra sensitive (I think rage calls 'em flakes). So being the nice guy that I am I'll try to keep it to myself.


BTW, there's a massive shortage of ammunition here in the US of A since many fear that Chairman Maobama--I mean our president, Barak Hussein Obama---will pass some sort of harsh gun control laws.
But there's no denying that an armed society is a polite society.

Oh yeah, I just saw that he's also decided that it will be a good idea to spend more on welfare next year than the Bush administration spent on the war in Iraq (another can of worms I'm not going to rant about), despite the fact that the deficit is at an all time high.

This guy must think money grows on trees or something. A certain radio personality calls these policies "trickle up poverty".

If this keeps up, I might have to move to the utopian tundras of Canadia or something.

In Memoriam

With all the sadness and trauma going on in the world at the moment, it is worth reflecting on the death of a very important person, which almost went unnoticed last week. Larry LaPrise, the man who wrote "The Hokey Pokey", died peacefully at age 93. The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin.  They put his left leg in.  And then the trouble started.

GUard, Im starting to wonder if all the you's are beyond help or if there is any hope for at least some of them?
