OY THIS TOPIC IS GEVALDIGGGG

A EHRLICHER BUCHIR A BAAL TESHUVAH
WENT TO THE MIKVAH EREV YOM KIPPUR

HIS TATTOOS HE TRIED TO CONCEAL
UNDER HIS TOWEL NOT TO REVAEL

AS HE APPROCHED THE MIKVA HIS TOWEL FELL
HE WANTED TO HIDE LIKE A TURTLE IN HIS SHELL

HE COLDN'T MOVE FROZEN FROM SHAME
TO HIS RESCUE AN OLD MAN CAME

MY DEAREST YIDDELE DO NOT WORRY
I HAVE A SIMILAR STORY

WE SHARE A SOMETHING MINE OLD YOURS NEW
MY HAND IS BRANDED WITH A TATTOO

MY TATTOO IS IS A SIGN
SO IS YOUR JUST LIKE MINE

THE ONLY ONE THAT CAN WASH IT AWAY
IS HASHEM WHOM TO WE PRAY

SO DONT BE SAD BECAUSE OF YOUR TATOO
IT WILL BRING TO "LIFNEI HASHEM TITHARU"

TURE STORY

2 amazing thoughts.

Very Touching!

Speaking of Kavunos in the mikve,

A yid asked Hakodosh Reb Aaron Belzer Z"L Kavonos Ha Mikveh.

So he said.

"Mikveh is all about going Down 1 step & another till we reach the bottom & when we get Down there, we Bend Down yet Again under the water.

Its about telling Hashem I'm All yours! I am "Nichnah" myself to you.

Have a Holy Shabbos

A beautiful observation...I just dont understand one of the ideas you presented:

It would seem that the tattoos will always be there on his body, though it has absolutely no bearing on him now or who he is today....

I was thinking this might apply to us. The aveiros and lusting we have done will always be there in the distance

Why should that be so? Teshuva is OxyClean for the neshama. If a person did real teshuva, and truly beseeched Hashem for help, he essentially scrubbed his soul clean of the aveirah and lusting stains that fell upon it...why should those stains always be there in the distance?

I love that.

I heard that the Satmer Rebbe Reb Yoil Z"L his yurstsat is tonight when he was asked what kavonas to have in Mikvah he said "Your Kavona Should Be How FAST You Can Get In & Out Of The Mikvah".

Dear Efshar.

I think it depends on whether or not you're keeping others waiting.
Just as an alcoholic needs to avoid that first sip, a lust addict needs to avoid that first slip.Slip today? No way! ;)Fall today? No way, Jose'!

REB AHARON OF BELZ ZTZ"L USED TO SAY THIS VERETEL;

WAHTS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A MIKVA AND AN AVAIRA

WHEN YOU ENTER THE MIKVA YOU CAY OY! OY! THEN AHHH...AHHH,,

AN AVEIRA FIRST YO SAY AHHH AAAHHH THAEN OYYY OYY!

REGARDING THE AMOUNT OF TIME SPENT IN THE MIKVA
REB AHARON OF BELZ SAID

ONE WHO TOIVELS MORE TIME THAN IS ACCEPTED BY "CHASSIDISHE YIDDEN"
IS JUST SPLASHING IN THE WATER

if the person did a real teshuva and removed those stains, that still by no means implies he can then be complacent. No, he must remain ever vigilant, the teshuva notwithstanding, to be on guard that just because he did teshuva does not mean the yetzer won't try any and every tactic to get him back to do this stuff, always there at the distance, ready to pounce.

So true!
