You couldnt be more right. thats why we daven every morning V'lo Le'day Nisayon. Although we grow from the tests we still ask hashem that we shouldnt have to come on to them.

That IS interesting - we know that our whole purpose in this world is to deal with nisyonos (it's not just a matter of beauty, it's the only purpose of our existence, of the existence of this world), so why DO we ask not to be placed in situation of nisyonos?

Maybe that's our effort, reminding ourselves that we're not interested, and by doing so, showing hashem the direction we want to go in?

Hashem knows what nisyonos we need and what we can handle... no need to temp the Satan and ask for them. David asked for a nisayon (bichaneini hashem vi'naaseini) and he got one and fell. (bat sheva)

And as is obviuos from our davening every day. even the tests that are meant for us we pray and ask Hashem to help us avoid them.

I'm still not sure I understand - since we need our tests to grow, what happens when we daven to hashem to help us avoid them? If we avoid them, then what happens to that growth we needed? Unless the act of davening to avoid that nisayon is the same as grappling with it?

that's one thing  i think . tefilla is a way of getting things  from  H" . nisyonos aren't the only way to grow. but they seem to be the main way. we can also ask that the nisayon come in a diiferent form and intensity . bechesed. or through a hard Toisfos instead of a stubbed toenail (what? :o :o :o)

as per my "promise" , i am rereading the handbooks . i read  today about the idea of hyper -sexuality . that is pretty much me in a nut shell . i am a sensitive guy in general , but in this area  i'm  SUPERSENSITIVE!  maybe we can market that as a new super hero.

H' provides H' takes care of you H' gives you what you need . more on this .............
