I tried one of the blockers (Anti-Porn) but my IT dept found that it interferred with the normal functioning of the computer system.  It seems to communicate independently but tries to sync with the computer's clock....

Anyhow, anyone with a solution?

there are a few filters you can try. K9, SafeEyes, OpenDNS.org among others

I know that k9 has a filter for the iphone, Does anybody else know of a free internet filter that works with any other phone like a blackberry or droid, etc.

I know you can remove the internet altogether, but I'm not asking that.  I'm asking about a filter and a free one or a one time fee (not jnet monthly fee).

Anybody?

I would suggest a "client based filter", which basically means that your INDIVIDUAL computer would be filtered, not the internet connection. In other words all the other computers wouldn't be affected in any way
I dont think it could interfere with the system, since it filters YOUR individual computer not the internet connection
k9 would be a good option, (hey dont keep the password, otherwise , whats the point )

I hope this helps
