Glad you are doing better. May I humbly suggest that you stop obsessing (forgive me if that sounds like a harsh word) and start living. We have all been there, and it does not help. You are doing great - keep on trucking and making progress one step at a time.

I think it has something to do with not eating until five pm and then eating some type of fruit that costs 2.49. whatever the cause is, we gotta keep on trucking. We're in this together.

sorry to hear, buddy.
your attitude is great.
keep on trucking, strukking but under no circumstances are you to be caught 'brukking' (until Achron shel pesach at least).

Falling was just as fun as I remembered but being clean was, and is, way more enjoyable.
thats a keeper!

welcome!
you are in the right place, much to learn here and great advice, but after listening and learning you have to figure out what works for you.
not all of the advice is exactly right for everyone and (kol shekain)that goes for what my two cents.
if I understood your shayla correctly it wasn't only if the actions you are taking are too much too fast (about which i would be noteh to agree with TZ) but also about the optimism and deciding this is it.
This is for sure a great start and it could work if you work it correctly, however many have not succeeded right away and being too optimistic may be a recipe for having a harder time recovering if their are any slips or falls, so it is kdaiy to know that this is a great place for that too, to learn how to keep on trucking, and also to realize that the main thing is to focus on what we are doing now and not on the number of days as mentioned previously.
Anyway, Hashem should help you succeed and to shteig on the way also.

The trouble with the lusting in all its aspects, is that we are not seeing this urge as a way of coming towards Hashem. We view it as a way of grabbing pleasure independently. Our holy task is to understand that this "different" aspect of ourselves is no less holy that our learning or davening, and to accept Hashem's malchus even on this "lowly" (which is really very elevated) aspect of our existence.

I don't how much lust is different in this aspect then eating or sleeping or kosher sex with one's wife. are all those area really focused at all on serving Hashem. maybe by you, but i am not that holy. (yet- working on it, it's in my plans)
the only difference might be that one is an aveirah and one is not. but as one of my rebbeim told me years ago (about a diffrent issue) when i was becoming a ben torah, "guilt is ok- just save it for yom kippur, in the meantime move on" or as they say here (or used to) keep on trucking!!

I fell last night.

Just when I finally thought I'm beginning to get the hang of things. That no matter what happens I keep going. I stopped dead in my tracks. I had a terrible day yesterday. Really really bad, in a lot of different ways. I reached out a couple of times asking friends to text me smilies, and they did, kol hakavod to them. But when I finally fell into bed at the end of it all. My hands automatically did the work for me.

I'm very disappointed and disappointed and disappointed and jealous and jealous and jealous of anyone and everyone. If that's not enough I have another million illogical fears now.

But I was doing such a good job not letting everything get to me. Ignoring the jealousy seeking to serve those I was jealous of instead. Ignoring the discord around me, praying for those who create it instead of being angry at them. Ignoring the self centerdness seeking to overextend myself to others instead.

And then suddenly... I FALL?!

But then I thought, Why should I let THE FALL get in my way?!

I'm not letting anything else get in my way!

Ignore the fall! KEEP ON TRUCKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Improve - Sounds like you are going through a super hard time. Do you have anyone you are close with that you can talk to? There are also many on this site that might be able to talk or email with you when you hit a low, before you do something you might regret.

Keep on trucking!

Welcome Tzvi!!!

You have certainly come to the right place, a place where you are not alone, far from it. We are all in the same boat here, struggling with lust, learning what Hashem wants from us.

One of our great motto's is "One day at a time", nothing is more important than just staying clean now, just for now, even if I know that I won't be clean tomorrow, I wouldn't give away being clean now.

Do you see the problem to be only on the internet? How's shemiras einayim on the streets? Are there fantasies going on a lot in your head? In other words, we really need to know what to label as "lust" in order to learn about it completely.

Keep on Posting!!!

Sorry to hear about your fall......

But it's as the others wrote FELL SHMELL!!! The only thing we can do with a fall is learn from it, and learn from it you did!!!

I found two points in what you wrote 1) Opportunity. But more importantly 2) plonialmoni11 wrote:
Other then that I can't really tell what my trigger was. I feel like i'm always triggered

That really hit home for me, because when I hit that realization it was simple that I needed to put most of my focus on that!! The unfiltered computer, home alone, on the plane, etc. were all just the places where all the built up triggers could shoot. But if I could learn to stop the triggers, then they wouldn't need to shoot!! So I started working on shemiras einayim, and lusting after my wife which I found were two of my main lusting points.

A little bit after that after falling after 152 days I learned that there is another "trigger" and that is my attitude towards life, and if my attitude was negative then I would look for lsut and eventually slip and fall. So I started working on that.

Get up!! JUST KEEP ON TRUCKING!!!! It's one day at a time here, and today we can be clean, all of us the same, just for today!!
