get up, dust yourself off and try to implement a way to avoid a repetition of the fall in the future, those are the things the YH doesn't want you to do.
the torah you wrote from your rav about breishis is great and very fitting, beis reishis, time to start again, say mizmor shir leyom hashabbos.

Call people before you are n trouble. Get used to making calls. Get comfortable with talking with people on the phone about these things. Then when the need comes it will not be a gantze challos to call. The second thing is we have to learn to catch it very early. We have to become self aware. We have to sense the little tiny suggestion in our minds and shine the light on it by making a call.
Hatzlacha and  Keep on trucking
Dont feel bad after all we are powerless.

I second that...
Head to head has never worked for me. for me it's about living life with the right support etc.

P.s. your non-polished posts are just fine in my humble opinion...

i get it. this is a part of you that was important, that held you apart and made you unique. it's a chunk of what made you YOU. or so you thought.

you know, going back to that story of the shul that got upset about raising the Mechitzah after 40 years...they are so silly. why view it the way they do?
why not view it with a forward angle. that now we are going to have a BETTER Mechitzah b/c we are yidden and yidden are always growing and improving.

in the past you were perhaps confused. there were things about this whole topic you didn't know about, did not understand, or were mislead in.
now you are working on being a BETTER you. not that you were 'wrong' or 'horrible' or this is a part of you that must be slashed out and replaced.

when working on oneself, sometimes its helpful to ignore the past a little and just look forward and work towards the future

the fact you make an effort means you are an amazing person. keep on trucking, Bruit!

Oh well I fell today... twice! I know what triggered me, I think I got rid of it and b'ezras Hashem I'll get back onto my next streak right away. I still feel really good about having 4 days clean and now I KNOW that I can do it again!

It might be a new streak, but my progress will not be lost!

I WILL keep on trucking

awesome! wow that's two weeks and counting. if only i were there too...one day soon  ;D

i remember what i was like around then, first time around. i was doing pretty good, still excited from the initial start and starting to feel untouchable. a week later, still feeling free and easy and a little too big-headed and pig-headed for my own good, i self-paskened i was allowed to watch a certain movie b/c i was beyond all that already and i'd be fine. whoops. i held on but barely- from then on it was kind of a downward slide leading to my fall on day 50.
moral of the story: shouldn't have let my guard down.

the fact that you reached where you are now is amazing. i give you a Beracha that that feeling stays with you and you continue to be excited. keep on trucking bro.

Thank you so much for the well wishes!!!  I had a really bad day today, work, kids, wife.... it seemed that nothing that "I" wanted went the way "I" wanted it to go.  Instead of feeling sorry for myself, or Chas V'Shalom, letting the bad thoughts banging on my head in,  I logged on to the guardyoureyes music section (who knew) and took in some uplifting Chasidishe music.

So, I had a bad day.  I will just, as bard says, "Keep on Trucking"

In fact, I am gonna "Put the Hammer Down", "what's your 20"

lets put this in perspective.

1/90

in the past 3 months you fell once.

once.

it's called a *blip*.

come on. pick yourself up, wash your hands, clear your head, daven. as bardichev likes to say, keep on trucking.

mazel tov on your engagement, by the way. may your marriage be one of Shalom and Simcha, full of Beracha and Kedusha.

Posting this is hard, ouch  True  Just reading it makes me realize what a sicko how normal I am.

Dear Moshe,

As I write this, this incident has probably passed. But I still wanted you to see the correction I made.

I don't know of anything that has helped me once the feeling happens, except to know that eventually it will pass.
