Yes its hard. Try to think of your Rebbi when you do it. it will make it a little easier. But please be careful to make sure no feelings are hurt. Not that im doubting you, but it doesnt hurt to be extra careful.

the basic gist: R' twerski says u have to tell.
the only person i know about that got engaged while involved in gye is letakain, and she told.
