cholint -bard-ster, now we are talking!
after years of the same old meat and potatoes - I set out on a new venture to discover some new cholents.
there are some weird ones online
- with coka cola
- with chocolate
- with seaweed
who thinks of this stuff.
un able to find something interesting..I created my own recipe.
Colorful, tasty, fruity...can be vegetarian, or with meat...
enjoyed by both ashkenazim and sephardim (ok - my persian mother in law helped me with some of the ideas)
its called TUSCANY CHOLENT
(as I imagine the hills and flavors of Tuscany Italy)
you have any money - I have a plan to market it, and make some money from it?
re: borscht - the stuff is great if made the right way.
we also cut up beets, potatoes, sweet potatoes, and onions - mix with olive oil, and basil and oregano and cook in the oven for some nice toasty italian veggies.
(not sure if they go well with Woodford - but one never knows. )
