Got lost in pride.
Got lost in himself.

His sons learnt a valuable lesson from the whole tragedy, though.

What will people say at your eulogy?
Uri. He really liked porn.
Uri really enjoyed a good burger.
Uri was able to put a good 12 hours on his pillow.
Vinny. He was a good killer.
Tom. He was a great actor.
Farve. He really knew how to throw.

What are the people gonna say?
Who are you?
What have you become?
What happens when you see the video of your life?

Keep in mind that this is not not not a mussar shmooze.
What's done is done.
What Hashem gave He gave.
The past is the past.
And much of it was definetly basically out of our control.
But what now?

Will our life continue to be one long string of:
Comfort
Time
Irritable
Resist
Comfort

How much will be accomplished in this manner?
Our life has to change.
We have to live with the bigger picture in mind.
G-d created us to enjoy Him.
And He is the world.
We must get out there and experience Him
For how long can we live selfishly and within ourselves?

When will start sharing ourselves with the world?
The world is waiting for us.
The world needs us.
Uri has something that the world needs.
As do Rage,Mom,Guard,Momo,and all of us.
This is what we will be remembered for.
Uri.He spent his whole life giving.
He wrote songs to pick people up.
He smiled at strangers.
He cared about people.

Uri will not be remembered for not watching porn.
Our lives are not about not watching porn.
Not to diminish the greatness of restraint,
but isn't there so so much more out there?
And in us?

Maybe we thought too much about the inner turmoil?

Today,Wednesday,24th of Cheshvan,October 11th we recite Perek 66,For the Conductor,A Psalm,A Song

First of all,this perek is mamesh gevaldig.

Secondly I would like to share in regards to this perek a thought I saw in Rav Pincus on Chanuka (geshmak!)

"Ein Od Milvado"."There is nothing else besides Him".
What does that even mean?
Rav Pincus says that there are three levels of understanding this idea.

1)Hashem created everything and there is nothing that has any power besides for Him, and whatever He wills to exist shall exist, and whatever He decides must go, will go.

Deep.

2)Hashem is involved in everything that happens in this world to the utmost degree. He decides which leaves fall and when, makes sure the catterpillars get fed, and provides water and food to all those who need

Deeper.

3)Hashem gives energy to all that exists and everything exists every second only because Hashem infuses it with energy at that moment. There is nothing besides for Hashem. Look at your hand. Every second Hashem remakes it. The world is just an illussion. Hashem's energy.

Deepest.

It is written that we will wake up when Moshiach comes (may it be soon in our days).
And then we will look back and see it all as one dream.
We got lost in this dream.
We enter this fantasy world of sex and lust.
We are afraid of the real world (even if we won't admit it).
But is there what to be afraid of?
It is all Hashem.
And that means that it is all amazingly beautiful and gevaldig beyond belief.
Wow.
Go outside.
It is all G-d.
This is your world.
Just you and G-d.
Taste the G-dliness that is within this world.
The Torah connects us to the G-dliness within everything.
What is lust?
What is sex?
Bah!!
You have the whole world full of Hashem before you!!!
The trees!
The grass!
Mountains!
Oceans!!
Skies!
People!

Kind deeds
Love

So much goodness in this world.
Hashem created the most beautiful universe.


And we can just look at it,say "very nice", and go hide from all that in this fantasy world of uchness??!!

I often think back to my days of learning how to swim.
Quite scary.
My brother nearly drowned when he was 3 (like pronounced hopeless).
And I was traumatized by the water.
But when I overcame that fear and just got in there,a new world opened up to me.
The beautiful joys of swimming and conquering the water.

The baby bird who fears leaving his safe nest (where he has a stash of porn magazines).
"No, I'm fine",he tell his mother."I'll just hang out here."
But when he overcomes his fears and gets out there, Gevalt
He soars through the air.
Now he is truly free.
He has conquered the skies.

Hashem created a world for us to live in.
Birds were created to fly.
Fish to swim.
And humans to live.

But really live.

And the world.
As one.
