Rabbi Nachman said “There’s absolutely no such thing in the world as giving up.” There is always hope, even from what seems to be the deepest depths of sin and despair. And Rabbi Nachman also said: “If you believe you can destroy, believe you can fix.” There is no such thing as a sin that can’t be fixed, or a situation that is completely hopeless. The Zohar says that there can be no light if it doesn’t come first through the darkest darkness. And as Rav Yisrael Salanter said: “As long as the candle is lit, one can still fix.” - 21
