A new month - a new start! 16 Mar 2010 12:02 #58394

I heard once from Rabbi Yosef Blau, Mashgiach Ruchani at YU, a possible reason why we say Hallel on Rosh Chodesh: even though there are no miracles connected with Rosh Chodesh, we say Hallel out of thanks for the opportunity that a new month presents to "turn over a new leaf," and make a new start. So, guys, lets make a new start today! Especially as Nisan is the month of Geulah, let this month be the beginning of our own redemption from this terrible addiction!

In addition Nissan being the first one could be a great path for the rest of the year.
