I felt strongly that the 20,000th post on the GYE forum should be something meaningful. Let me paraphrase Rebbi Akiva (Mishnah, end of Yoma):
“Ashreichem Yisrael! You’ve been through the Selicha, Mechila, Kapara, and Tahara of Yom Kippur, and you have GYE to keep you on the right track!”
(All right, so this is not the 20,000th post! I let someone else have the honor - this is actually number 20,006. Does anyone know who it was that made GYE history?)
Since September 29th, there were 6,390 posts added to the forum. In other words, in the past 37 days (I'm counting weekdays only) there were an average of almost 173 posts added per day. And day #37 isn't over yet (at least in my part of the world).
What does this mean to me and you? It means that if you read every single post (including this one), you need to get yourself a life!
