Re: lets help my day count! 16 Apr 2013 17:49 #205202

running away for me is for sure how i got to israel. now im here and have been here for 10 years. sometimes i feel that because i got here because i ran away maybe this isnt the place for me. i think too much
i used to look back all the time saying "oh no! what have i done! Hashem help me erase the past." and i never heard a response.
finally i started looking forward saying "Hashem i'm leaving the past to you and i'm forgetting all about it. help me have a good future. help me from here and on be the person You want me to be." and that's where i realized Hashem had been waiting to help me all along

thanks for sharing your story. i smell a success story in the making and you play the starring role.
i also think too much (i think ) and it can be agonizing. there is a phrase around here "stinkin' thinkin'", we can get all wound up like a spring with our thoughts and cheshbonos until we are ready to burst...
wishing you much hatzlocha

Yeah, the less I think, the less trouble I get myself into.

one day at a time and every day is a gift
that being said going into shavuos being clean since pesach was great.
