  • Big Book Study Group

An in-depth 12-Step Big-Book Study Group; an SA style group for men who are willing to make a serious commitment to finally find the freedom from their addiction; as literally promised by the Program.

    Big Book Study Group

If you find it too difficult to make a face-to-face SA meeting or you are concerned about privacy and anonymity but you know that you would benefit by working a 12 Step Program, then join Duvid Chaim’s anonymous phone fellowship; a group of men who share your struggle. The Big Book Study group uses the traditional and proven format used by millions of 12 Step sponsors and sponsees who have, with G-d’s help, found recovery and freedom from their addiction. This program is a proven method of success!

    Notes

This conference takes place 3 times a day (Monday through Thursday). Find the hour that works best for you, and try to stick to it each day.

This group covers about 2 to 3 pages from the Big Book each day and helps you WORK THE STEPS.

Participants should have a copy of the Big Book, or a printed download (see below), and the ability to highlight and take notes in the margins. This is important for your susccess in the program. And remember: participation is key - listening in on the sidelines is rarely successful.

Note: The 8:30-9:30 time was especially created to help yeshiva men in Beis Medrash and Kollel who can finish davenning by 8:30 and need to be at their shtenders by 9:40/9:45. It's a great start to a kedusha filled day!

The 11th cycle of GYE's 12-Step phone conference just launched with over 200 men who called in to the three daily calls...

We asked some of the veterans to share what they got out of the prior cycles. Here are some of their comments:

      - It helped me to get out of isolation, I made new friends in recovery.
      - It helped me develop a new way of thinking.
      - Now I finally feel that I've got Hope.
      - I feel like I got Freedom, it saved my marriage, I have reworked my Middos.
      - I'm finally free from that "2nd Glance".
      - I've struggled for 15 years, now I've got 6 months of sobriety due to the calls!
      - I learn something new every time I'm on the call.
      - I need the pre-emptive daily work on myself to stay sober each day.
      - I've been a dry drunk for so long, now I feel hope for real sobriety.
      - As a Newcomer I was not going to speak up, but now I feel safe and reassured.
      - It changed my life, I feel like I've been born again.
      - I can finally see light at the end of the tunnel.

Yes, the differences between BB's editions is in the stories in the back of the book, which is more of a dessert. The meat and potatoes are the same.
