    Other Comments

I have been working intensely with addicts of all types for the last ten years including a full time position as the Director of the Englsih Speakers Program at Retorno Rehabilitation Center. My private practice and my work at Retorno has given me the opprtunity to work individually and as part of a team with over twelve hundred addicts. I have taught classes and led study groups on the 12 Steps for addicts, non addicts and codependents. Having worked a 12 Step Program for many years for overeating I appreciate the addictive personality and the importance of working a 12 step program in addition to pyschotherapy where needed. SInce most addicts have trauma or complex trauma in their background, my training as a trauma therapist gives me a unique opportunity to help the addict understand the roots of his addiction.  I work with both men and women understand the need for the balance of compassion and strength in working with addiction. My close connection to the Ribbono Shel Olam helps my work in encouraging clients to develop their spiritual side while working on the recovery process.
