Questions to ask yourself before acting-out:

By GYE Admin

Why do I feel I need to act out?

What brought me to this point?

Have I been here before?

What did I do to deal with it?

How did I feel after dealing with it correctly?

What have I done to ease the discomfort so far?

What else can I do that won't be acting out?

How will I feel when I am acting out?

How will I feel after acting out?

How will I feel tomorrow morning?

Can I avoid this stressor or deal with it better in the future?

Do I need to act out?

Breathing to relax

By GYE Member

I am clean for over 180 days, thank G-d. I use the forum, the 90 Day chart, I spend time reading and listening on the topic. I also spend much more time with my kids and family. Keeping myself busy, trying to daven with minyen, going to my shiur are all helping me, but the strongest tool that works for me is "one moment at a time!" Just one desire at a time. When I get a lust attack, I'm learning to breath like a woman having contractions.
