I began as a kallah teacher and saw the need for more qualified therapists in our community so I trained as a counselor and began working with couples and individuals. After a few years I branched out into CBT and had a lot of success helping people with anxiety, OCD, especially OCD with Mitsvos and depression. I then trained in addictions counseling and have successfully helped addicts and spouses of addicts in their recovery from addiction.
I live in Beitar and work mainly with the Orthodox community
I mainly work with sex and internet addiction although I do work with people addicted to drugs, alcohol or food as well. I believe very strongly in the 12 step model and coach people through the difficult process alongside the relevant 12 step group that they attend. I also use various CBT methods, including REBT to help the client reframe and be able to rebuild a life shattered by addiction. This work is very rewarding as I feel I am taking a client from the depths of despair to the heights of hope and to the ability to live a constructive, happy life.
