G-d, Myself, and I
By obormottel

*We feel we are on the Broad Highway, walking hand in had with the Spirit of the Universe. - Big Book p.75

*The God I serve is bigger than the problems I encounter. I focus on HIM, and not my struggles!

*Faith in God includes faith in His timing.

*Some days, I feel there is a God and I pray. Some days, I don't feel there is a God. On those days, I pray MUCH harder!

Invitation - Women Only
Focus on yourself: *You may find the worst enemy or best friend in yourself. *When you feel like giving up, remember why you held on for so long in the first place. *Instead of giving myself reasons why I can't, I give myself reasons why I CAN. *If G-d had wanted me otherwise, He would have created me otherwise. *Sometimes you may feel Hashem is hard on you & doesn't love you... Truth is, He loves you too much to leave you the way you are. *I am a great teacher, and my best student is myself.

These 19 short videos clips are excerpts from a series on theshmuz.com by Rabbi Ben Tzion Shafier called "The Fight - A Frank Strategy and Pan for Conquering Desire".

Video #18 - But I Caused This Mess

"Every once in a while you may say to yourself how could I possibly face Hashem when I've created such a deep pit? And even more than that, how could you possibly tell me that I'm given reward for controlling myself when I created this desire. When I was younger I didn't have it. If I didn't read those things, if I didn't go to those sites, if I didn't look at those pictures, I wouldn't have had this situation. I made it, I created it; it's my fault. How could I face Hashem? And surely how could I expect to get reward for winning this fight?..."
