Through the advice and chizuk of the chevra I have set up a chvrusa to do the 12 steps.

I would like to but you know how it goes with selfish people like me. When they need help they are up and about but when they are doing well they forget about those who helped them.

I appreciate the honesty but remember that you're a good man and it's ok to be how you are. God loves you. Progress not perfection.

Vu bist du??????????

Getting rid of triggers isn't yet the recovery. It's just necessary to do in order to get into the recovery process. Now that you have gotten rid of all the triggers(if you have, because maybe there are some that you don't realize and they will become evident during the process of working towards recovery) it's time to get working with a recovery program.

My program so far is talking to a chaver/sponser on a regular basis. But today I made some decisions to get rid of some additional triggers because I see that my mind isn't completely there to facilitate the recovery process because I'm clouded by lust. I thought of this and decided this today when they lained וימאאאאאאאאאאאאאאאאאאאאאאאאאאאאאאאאאאאאאן I was thinking that this is what we need to do with all triggers. Just say No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No!No! to drown out the voice of the maisis and don't allow any discussion to reason with your decision of No! Now I hope my program will be more effective. I believe that my program is somewhat effective already and I also believe that it is through my program that I have what it takes to come to such decisions and to hear this message during krias haTorah.

  1. Ich bin da.
  2. This is not a silly humble sounding question, but in all seriousness, what do you need me for?
  3. So so.

What do I need you for???

I like your posts, I can do with support - like we all can do, and was also checking if you needed an oil change or anything. If you're slipping sliding I can try help 'get your snow tires upgraded'

Also I'm compiling a speech for the 'mark of Torah thread' and can do with your insight that I'm sure you have

please reply to me any light you have to shed on the matter

It's currently on my desk, in a draft form - totally incomplete - This is what I compiled so far, and some sources too

:pinch: Warning: Spoiler!

I'm in a situation that I am somewhat lost. I have tried posting back and forth in the past and it was in search of a solution, but I don't know that I found one. I don't know if anyone has any REAL gain from my posts either. I have a person to speak with, and I did see great value in having that, but our times don't work out, so that isn't happening right now either. I really feel that if I could organise myself that would help tremendously but there arfe numerous things preventing me from doing that. So right now I am somewhat lost. Your divrei Torah are wonderful. I could add insight but I'm not in the frame of mind to do that, partly because it will take time and I don't know how much time I should be spending on it while the rest of my situation is not organised.

Posting is important, going it alone is not a good idea. As you probably know by now, isolation is a no no with this problem. I have tried many times to isolate, and trudge along on my own, I have always found myself in the same place, which is, falling and looking at myself as a sinner, and constantly contemplating if I am an addict or not. However by seriously opening up by posting sharing with others and joining phone conferences, I have come to realize that I'm probably an addict, and there is a way out.

Maybe you should have more then one person to speak with. You owe it to yourself. And if you're not sure if anybody is having anything from you're posts - likely they are having an impact - you surely are having from them.

As one of the vet's on GYE  put it to me. I might be powerless over an addiction but I'm not powerless over recovery.
