On this board, everyone is encouraged to share their journey through the 18 tools of the GYE handbook and get Chizuk and answers from everyone else here as well!

The GYE handbook provides a systematic framework for breaking free of this addiction. But just reading it alone won’t do very much if we don’t “work” the tools therein. So after reading through the GYE handbook once, we go back and start again from the beginning, this time taking it slowly and giving each tool a lot of careful thought. Have we tried the first few tools yet? What parts have we still not tried? Do we have questions, comments, doubts about any of the tools? Slowly but surely, tool by tool, day by day, the GYE handbook - together with the group support of this board - will provide you with the best framework possible for systematic growth and progress.

not always do I say the right things
not always did I treat another with the respect that he deserves
not always is, my advice given, the correct one
not always do I display the proper patience for another
at times, my words can be hurtful
at times, my comments can cause shame or anger
at times, my intentions are not pure
at times, my tone or expression can be triggering

I regret and feel bad for any harm or discontent that I might have caused here, and I ask mechilah from each and every one of you.

Additionally, I would like to take this opportunity to thank God for finding this chashuve site for me, and I'd like to thank Him for dragging me out of the mud and filth, and keeping me clean these past three months; ninety days.

Although I am not the guy who realizes it and speaks about it, I am told that it is indeed Him, and that is why I am expressing my thanks to Him. Although this is not bein adam l'chaveiro, I plead for mechilah from Him for not recognizing Him as much as I should.

Lastly, each and every one of you deserve so much credit for all that you are accomplishing for yourself and for others, and thank you so much for your care, concern, compassion, criticism that you display for me.

May God be with us all each and every moment. Don't look behind you; don't look ahead. He is here with you, me, us, right now.

That was beautiful, Cordnoy. Your thoughts were almost identical to mine (and probably everyone here).

I also feel sometimes my words to others on this forum and/or chat rooms may have been too harsh at times, and may have caused hurt to people I have never even met before. My advice may have been off base. My patience may not have been enough. My preconceived notions of others' personalities may have been false.

To anyone reading this, I apologize if any of these items applies to you and I hope you do not hold anything agaist me.

May we all be zoche to Selicha, Mechila and Kapora and a Gut Gebentched Yohr.

At the same time I am moichel anyone who upset me because I know that all the comments directed at me were intended to help and were for my own good.

gmar chasimah tovah to everyone and may we all be zoche to a kaporoh for all our aveirohs, to see moshiach soon, and be blessed with all good things.

Same here, I apologize to anyone if I said or wrote anything harmful here or if I insulted anyone in anyway. Please forgive me.

I forgive anyone who did anything to me (though I can't really remember anyone who did)

It's amazin' how many things stay the same.
There are some differences though....

not always do I say the right things
not always did I treat another with the respect that he deserves
not always is, my advice given, the correct one
not always do I display the proper patience for another
at times, my words can be hurtful
at times, my comments can cause shame or anger
at times, my intentions are not pure
at times, my tone or expression can be triggerin'

I regret and feel bad for any harm or discontent that I might have caused here, and I ask mechilah from each and every one of you.

Additionally, I would like to take this opportunity to thank God for finding this chashuve site for me, and I'd like to thank Him for dragging me out of the mud and filth, and keeping me clean these past sixteen months (albeit, with three horrible falls in between).

Although I am not the guy who realizes it and speaks about it, I am told that it is indeed Him, and that is why I am expressing my thanks to Him. Although this is not bein adam l'chaveiro, I plead for mechilah from Him for not recognizin' Him as much as I should. This Rosh Hashanah, we began a conversation.
