This unique Shiur/Workshop by Dov deals with a lot of the confusion that frum people sometimes experience in the program, and also with the issue of why some people's yiddishkeit gets weaker in recovery.

Simcha is the Key

By Ben Durdaya

I woke up today feeling R.I.D (Restlessness, Irritability, and Discontent) big-time. I began to shout "MAY DAY!"... I held myself together long enough to turn on some Purim music. I picked up one of my children and danced with them. My 6 month old son was in his chair, and when he saw us dancing he understood the Simcha and started smiling. Then I pulled my family into the circle and we danced together - a living expression of "kol atzmosay tomarna - all my bones will declare, Hashem, who is like you!!", and I did it for a long time... Yes my friends, SIMCHA is the key!

Thank you GYE! I want you to know that I've only fallen once in watching inappropriate things since I joined GYE about 4 months ago. I can't believe it myself, and although I still fall occasionally with mast**, this is tremendous growth I never dreamed of. I used to act out for 8-9 hours a day on average - every day!

Bullet-proof armor

By anonymous65

I want to share that GYE has been most helpful and beneficial in my recovery process. The problem resides in the battlefield of the mind, and I used to find myself in the middle of the battlefield with no protection whatsoever to this ailment, nor any kind of weapon to confront this horrible habit. But GYE has given me protection, a full five inches armor on me, and also weapons, powerful weapons to obliterate this enemy. The difference is trying to hit a nail with your bare hand or having a good hammer. With the hammer it's easy, with your bare hands you hurt yourself. That's how much GYE makes it easy to hit the nail, time after time. Thank you for all resources and tools, they have made a world of difference for my struggle!
